In order to improve the rigidity and carrying capacity of angular contact ball bearings, angular contact ball bearings of the same specification are often combined with double (DB, DF, DT), triple (TBT, TFT, TT), four (QBC, QFC, QT) and even five (PBC, PFC, PT, PBT, PFT). For double angular contact ball bearings, the collocation method is divided into back-to-back (DB), face to face (DF), and series (DT) three kinds. Back-to-back supporting contact ball bearings are suitable for bearing separate or combined radial and axial loads, and can withstand bi-directional axial loads. The angular contact ball bearings arranged face to face bear less overturning moment and provide lower system stiffness. Its advantage is that it is less sensitive to the coaxial error of the bearing seat. Angular contact ball bearings arranged in series are only allowed to bear a larger axial load in one direction. In most cases, it is necessary to apply preload with spring, and the radial load that can be borne and the stiffness of bearing depend on the selected preload value.
